For me and I am sure many others, the prospect of looking for a new, or even more so a second hand car is a daunting prospect. As a relatively ignorant and ill informed member of the car buying public, and in fairness because I have no real interest in them, the prospect of traipsing around car showrooms and garages where in the main you know you are of course being “sold to”, fills me with dread. How do I know if I’m really buying “what it says on the tin”, and am I really getting good value? Equally the time spent scouring the internet and deciding to go and see something that might have already been sold or wasn’t quite “what it said in the ad” is potentially at least entirely boring and a frustrating waste of time. I knew that I had some time to wait and I knew that I wanted a Mercedes because I was given one as my company car many years ago and had enjoyed it. But, where to start? I knew I wanted an estate I wasn’t concerned about colours but I did want some “whistles and bells” and ideally a diesel that was automatic. Then I discovered Carsuppliers.co.uk. The experience was exceptionally positive. They listened, advised, counselled and updated me throughout the process and at every turn I felt they really were working on my behalf. The outcome was an exceptionally good result. The spec fitted exactly what I had asked for and it was and so far remains a fantastic buy. I guess it was about £2k cheaper than I was seeing on the internet and was about 12k less than the average mileage I was expecting to see on a car of this age. But for me the real advantage was that someone who really knows their business was negotiating and choosing the car that I wanted against a far more rigorous and professional process than I could have ever done. But it didn’t stop there. The car (at my cost of course) was serviced, taxed, and presented in what I can only describe as showroom condition. It was delivered to me on a transporter to my home by a very professional and knowledgeable chap who took me through the final stage explaining the cars features to me, (I hadn’t driven an automatic in many years so we had a decent drive around in it), and then, and only then did I transfer the money to the Carsuppliers account.
